* A Full-Time Piano Teacher

“I want my child to be a PIANO PLAYER, not just a piano student!”
Looking for a Piano Teacher
who can make piano lessons
more interesting and enjoyable
for your children?
Week after week, a piano teacher can either continually exhort her student to practice dilligently on the piano, or think of ways to inspire an involuntary love for music such that piano practice- a chore, will be turned into piano playing- a natural joy!
Desire for my students
I seek to inspire in my students a lifelong interest and love for music. That one fine day, they would become music-buffs, CD-collectors, concert-lovers, and piano players, who out of their own initiative and pleasure, would cheerfully play, sing and make melodies for their friends and loved ones with passion and conviction!

My Curriculum
I go about achieving the above through teaching methods I have conceived over the years. These core lesson themes together with the unique delivery methods, will help make lessons enjoyable and yet enriching, ensuring a steep learning curve where important lifelong piano techniques, rhythm, listening, singing, psycho-motor, and music appreciation skills are sowed.
Core lesson themes include:
(a) Music games
(b) Duet playing
(c) Playing along with percussion instruments
(d) Singing and dancing
(e) Introducing Jazz, English and Chinese popular hits, English Classics from the 1960s-1980s
(f) Introducing Disney, nursery, cartoon, motion picture, drama serial-theme songs
(g) Improvisation skills
(h) Songwriting techniques
(i) Sharing of inspiring lifestories of musicians
whilst preparing my students for ABRSM classical piano and theory examinations.
A little more about myself
I am a 23 year old graduate from NUS (Bachelor of Social Sciences Hons. and University Scholars Programme) who holds 2 piano performance diplomas from London College of Music at Thames Valley University. I have had 5 years of teaching experience with students from 5 to 17 years old, in both private and formal school setting. The reason why I could start giving piano lessons at 18 was because I obtained my Grade 8 in Secondary 1 and my 1st diploma in Secondary 4, whilst attending Crescent Girls Secondary and subsequently Raffles Junior College.
