Thanks a lot for your encouragement! Ironically, most of my students have heard my songs but most of my friends haven’t! *wink* It’s a tremendous joy to be playing the piano for you and my other students! Hope ONE FINE DAY, I sit down, AND then it’s YOUR TURN TO PLAY FOR ME K! That would be another kind of bliss! to have someone playing the piano for me! hehe.. okaaay.. Answering your question, for song #3: ‘O precious lamb of God’, the melody and lyrics were put together in 3hrs time. For song #2: ‘Serenade’ and song#1: ‘Where I belong’, the melody came upon me in a few hours time and after some deep thinking over 2-3 days, the lyrics were completed. Actually I personally find that the arrangement of a piece of song takes more time than writing one. But it’s great, instead of spending 2 months writing a 4000 word essay (which I don’t have to do now!), I would rather (and now I can!) spend 2 months (or even more) writing song(s)!
